The 20th jubilee meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU will be held in Brussels on November 13-15 of this year.
The people’s deputies of Ukraine, members of the Ukrainian part of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU headed by the Co-chairmen of the Delegation Petro Poroshenko and Serhii Tihipko; the deputies of the European Parliament, members of the part of the European Parliament of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU; the representatives of Ukraine in the EU and the representatives of the EU enforcement institutions will attend the meeting.
The draft agenda of the 20th meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU is being conformed now, however, it is known that the topics of the discussion will be: prospects of signing the Association Agreement during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, the Plan of top priority actions after the Summit, issue of visa dialogue and prospects of introducing visa-free regime between the EU and Ukraine, issue of the Eastern Partnership and its parliamentarian dimension - Euronest PA, domestic policy development in Ukraine and the EU, development of political and security, economic and sectoral cooperation, etc.
The Ukrainian Party views the 20th meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU as a further step towards intensification of the parliamentary dimension of the EU-Ukrainian relation. The Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU is an important tool of the European integration of Ukraine which, after signing the Association Agreement, will be transformed to the Parliamentary Committee on Association.
Following the results of the meeting, the Joint Declaration of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU will be adopted and sent to the EU-Ukraine Cooperation Council and the Eastern Partnership Summit.
